The company planning the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project in the Kimberley region, Sheffield Resources, is planning a round of consultation and engagement in September and October, ahead of a two-year construction program. Located midway between Derby and Broome, Thunderbird is a large-scalelong life mineral sands mining and processing project with low environmental impacts and long term economic and community benefits.
