Aardbulaardoo Ngayeye
Welcome everyone to Dambeemangaddee Country
Right Way Visitation
We have to work together in a respectful way with Wandjina and Woongudd, to make sure that we as Dambeemangarddee people are safe, and our visitors are safe, and helping us to look after Country by following the rules from Lalai.
Our traditional lands are vast and difficult to access. To help guide visitors on the correct way to visit our country we have put together a list of approved visitor locations. You can learn more on our Visitor Location Schedule page.
Wooloowa (smoking ceremony) is our law. It is a respectful smoking custom that is important to our people. It makes sure that visitors are safe when out on our country.
Unfortunately we can’t always be on-County to provide Wooloowa to our visitors, so we have developed a Visitor Pass, with a helpful Code of Conduct to keep you safe and welcome on country.
If you are part of a cruise vessel or other tour, your tour operator will purchase this on your behalf. If you are an independent traveller, you can purchase it online yourself here. This then gives you permission to visit approved visitor locations on our beautiful traditional lands.
It is important that when you are visiting our Country, that you have permission, and come with a free spirit.
